Positive Psychology was founded on the belief that people want to lead
meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within
themselves, and to enhance their experiences of love, work, and play. It is a strengths-based psychology that aims to facilitate a shift from disorder or distress, to health, fulfillment and optimal functioning.

Therapy/Counselling for individuals and couples
Overwhelmed or burnt out? Feeling stressed, anxious or low? We provide standard psychological services
for individuals and couples across a range of presenting issues. We
utilise focused psychological strategies, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
When appropriate we add another layer – namely, applied Positive Psychology and its focus on the promotion of well-being, resilience and
preventative mental health strategies. We also
offer evidence-based coaching for personal and professional development (see below).
Our team of expert registered psychologists can help you overcome:
- relationship issues
- sleep problems
- grief and bereavement
- communication problems
- health and wellbeing issues
We also do mental health assessments, provide relaxation training and clinical hypnosis.
The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee for a 45-60 minute session with a Psychologist is currently $222. To make psychology services more accessible our standard fee is $195 per 1hour session. To see a Clinical Neuropsychologist the fee is $225 per hour.
If you have a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan you will be able to make a Medicare claim that will subsidise the cost of the session. Medicare will reimburse $84.80 per session for up to 10 sessions within a calendar year. You are welcome to see a psychologist without a referral; you only need a referral if you wish to claim Medicare rebates. Some private health funds provide rebates for psychological services, please check with your individual health fund.
Fees must be paid by cash or card at the end of each session.

Personal and Executive Coaching
We provide individual (and group) coaching for both personal and professional development. Evidenced-based Coaching uses scientifically validated techniques and strategies from the behavioural science of Psychology to facilitate the enhancement of life experience, work performance, goal attainment, personal growth and well-being. It is a collaborative, solution-focused, results-oriented process, with each coaching engagement tailored to the individual.
