Emily Scanlan is a Registered Psychologist and Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.

She brings her academic background and experience as a journalist to help professional writers, and students in high school and university to excel and flourish.

Emily provides workshops for the New South Wales Department of Education program, HSC Coach. The program, operated by University of Newcastle, aims to ensure students reach their potential, build resilience and stay motivated.

She also serves on the University of Sydney External Advisory Committee for the Faculty of Government where she works with Honours students experiencing anxiety, depression and "writers block".

Before joining PPI Emily worked as journalist with ABC radio and television and with SBS World News. She also worked in the public service as an Executive Level Officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She is passionate about working with professionals in high pressure jobs to stay well and in alignment with their values.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics Social Sciences (Psychology Major, Honours in Government), Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, Certificate in Applied Psychology, Masters of International Law and Masters of Arts in Journalism.
